Bathtub Overflow Faceplate broke off....

My overflow face plate fell off. The plastic piece that the bolt was screwed into broke off. I tried to glue the piece back on, but it just wouldn't take. What are some other options to put another faceplate back on since there is nothing to screw a bolt to?

There is no choice you need to replace the waste & overflow.

Drill and tap a new 1/4" bolt through the rear of the overflow fitting.
