Hi there, we flushed potato skins down our garburetor and managed to get it clogged. The machine seems to run ok, so i think the skins managed to slide past the blades and get trapped. its a dual sink, and the other side runs fine, so i know the problem is between the blades and the connection (which is before the p-trap). I tried some drano but no dice. Is there a DIY way to unclog the beast?

I would disconnect the drain pipe from the point were the two bowls join back to the disposer. You will want to have safty gloves and glasses to protect your self from the drano. I would never use drain acid on a disposer it could splash into your face or rot the thing. That would make it a very pricey clog.
