We could really use some advice on this one...
We just spent nearly 900 on getting a new 1" 160psi line laid to our shallow well. We then purchased a 3/4 horse shallow well pump. Now the pump won't work and after calling the company they said it was trying to draw too much water through too small a line. Is this true? What can we do? Would a smaller pump, like 1/2 hp work better. This is our 4th pump! Our previous well line was only 3/4 inch.
thanks

Need more info.

It worked before with 3/4" pipe.

Was the pipe poly, or PVC.
What is the change in elevation.
Are there any dips in the pipe run.
Did you prime the pump.
The pump is at the house end?

Hey, wait a minute.

This is awkward, but...
