Water Softener - Tankless

Hi, do you need a water softener if you have hard water and want to install a tankless system? Another problem to deal with in deciding what system to go with. Thank you.

Think teakettle, then think about the huge quantity of water that goes through a WH. A tankless has higher spot temperatures, so deposits more than a tank type. It's a very good idea. Read the fine print about regular maintenance on tankless...sometimes, it can get quite involved or you start to get a dropoff in performance.
