I just bought an American Standard single handle kitchen faucet.
All the fittings come thru the single main threaded shaft, so it only requires a single hole to mount.

When I rotate the faucet left or right the threaded housing also moves, it is not moving independently. I suspect something must be wrong but the people at home depot cant seem to understand this or maybe I am wrong and the faucet is designed to be in a fixed position.

Since everything is rotating it causes the handle to be out of alignment hot/cold wise as it would have moved also.

Any suggestions ?
I really want this particular faucet since it has a longer reach than most.

it is a model 4454 only sold at home depot

The tech support people at Am.Std. are good. Let me know what they say.

If everything has been tightened enough, I cannot figure out how this situation got this way, based on your description. There may be one more nut needing tightening.
