Was considering installing a corner toilet to gain a bit more space in bathroom.. existing toilet is in a corner close to wall.. I'm concerned about the toilet aligning with the existing flange.... Anyone have any possible dimensions they could pass along? Thanks.......

toilet

It is 12" from both walls. Since the normal toilet is 12" from the back and about 15" from the side wall, the toilet will not fit exactly into the corner unless the pipe is moved sideways.

elbow room

If it suits your floor layout, you leave the pipe where it is and install a shallow built in cabinet or just simple shelves, 3" deep.

Putting the toilet on a 45 degree angle gives you a lot more elbow room when seated. Also, it changes the walking space a lot too, so if your traffic flow is improved, it's another advantage.

When seated on a square-laid-out toilet with only 15 inches to the wall, you adjust how you move since the wall is in your way. You get used to it.
