Well Pump is running alot more than normal

So we have a pump, not sure much about it but my dh isn't taking time to look at it and i figure maybe if i look around and find maybe an answer and he'll look at it? So our pump is running much longer after the use of water than normal. Any ideas? I could really use some ideas!!
