Plumber recommends 1" polyethylene svc line from street to house in Atlanta, Ga. Says k copper would cost $400 just for copper.

Also I'm going to run a hot and cold line from basement, up and into garage attic and down into outside wall for outside hot/cold hose bibb. I will insulate it but will use cpvc. Thoughts on that too?
