Please help quickly.

We have two toilets upstairs that are currently not flushing. At first there seemed to be a slow flush with lots of bubbles, then they stopped flushing all together.

The main floor of our residence has a "powder room" and this toilet does not seem to have a problem.

Please advise what this may be and what we can do.

Thanks!

toilets

You either have two toilets that need to be serviced, or an unusual situation where the pipe going up to the toilets is obstructed before it connects to the main line going to the powder room.

Is this normal?

Thanks for the quick response.

Husband took off toilet in master bath and snaked a few times. First time when he brought up snake it had wax on it. He knows that none of the wax ring came off when he first removed toilet because he would have seen it at the bend in pipe. He snaked a few more times and brought up a little bit of waste debris. We then flushed other toilet upstairs a few times. On the third flush, it did not seem to want to flush, then it went down in a whoosh and there was a loud noise from the pipes in the wall. Also the downstairs toilet splashed up some water.

Now the guest toilet seems to flush with no problem. still need to set the master to see if it flushes fine.

Question is this....when the guest toilet upstairs is flushed the powder room toilet water moves slightly. Is this normal or do we still have a problem somewhere in the line?

Thanks again!

Chatter here relates that some less than quality workmen use the toilet drain as a waste dump, and could have contained drywall compound, wood chunks, and god knows what. SO, that may be what was causing the problem, which you've now cleared out.
