How high does a 2500 gal tank need to be on a hill above a house to insure 70 psi at the end of a 500 ft long pipe that is 2 inches in diameter? We live in an area with wells that do not put out much water, 4 gpm.

70psi. / .433 = 161.662........... feet

162 feet would give you static pressure of 70psi

Friction loss through pipe, fittings, valves, ect.. will effect your dynamic pressure.
