Does anyone have information how to dig your own shallow well for irrigation with water pressure?
I found something on the internet a while ago but it is lost

Anyone?

There are several possibilities. Drive a point. Jet it. Bore a well. Dig it with a backhoe and drop in a few large tiles.

First try to find if anyone else is getting water from a shallow well. How deep is it to water? Is fresh water available? What kind of wells to they have? How much water do they get?

After you know what has been successful for others, then you can figure out how to duplicate it.

well

My neighbour across the street is an irrigation specialist and he jets the shallow wells.I live on an island and the soil is really sandy.
I have a "shallow" well with a jetpump for my ptable house water...about 150' deep.

I found that article online again:

How far do i need to go from my housewell if I decided to make one?

Shallow well

We have a very high water table here in the Midwest. It averages around 40" year round. Would this be a good candidate to dig a trench with a backhoe and drop in seepage tile or some kind of drain tile? I am looking for irrigation and to keep my pond topped off. Thanks!
