Hi all:
I'm new here and hoping someone can answer a couple of hopefully easy questions.
We just bought a vacation property with a mobile home and well on it. In somebody's infinite wisdom, they installed absolutely no shutoff valves either for the mobile home or the entire water supply. I'm really paranoid about leaving the water turned on while we're away, but need to leave the outdoor spigots on for watering the landscape (we're using hose timers).
All the plumbing is galvanized. What's the easiest way to get some valves put in both for the mobile home and for the entire water supply? I don't see an easy way to splice into this stuff without opening a can of worms. I've worked with copper and it's a piece of cake to deal with compared to this.
Also, is there a fitting I could install which would allow me to use a compressor to blow the water out of the entire system for winter time when we won't be using the place?
Thanks in advance for any help!
