I am replacing an end drained tub with a side drain jetted tub. The drain could be placed on the wall side or the room side. If near the outside wall, the distance to the inside of the wall stud would be 7" from the overflow, and 13" from the tub drain. Can the new trap go under the overflow, or do I need to change the tub around to drain to the room side?
The runs from the tub to the stack increase to 45" (room side) or 48" (wall side) drain. Looks like a change to 2" drain pipe is needed? A new 2" stack santee requiered? oh dear.
I believe that I read in one thread that the tub's overflow and drain pipe can still be 1.5, and the trap should be 2", to match the drain pipe to stack. Does the adapter 2" to 1.5 go between the trap and below the tub drain tee?
