We are in the middle of a custom shower installation into a newly added shower addition in my master bath. One of the plumbers who gave me a quote on installing 2 values, 2 shower heads, a can and 5 body sprays wanted to use CPCV instead of cooper. (He was going to use cooper for the connections and CPCV for the run to the connections). I realize that there are good things and drawbacks on both. I am just searching out opinions here. Is there anything to be aware of during the CPVC connection installation? I would assume that the CPVC is a whole lot easier to work with and therefore cheaper to install. How about the cost for materials and installation tools?

Any info would appreciated.
