My Woodford Model 14 valve would not open so I pulled out the shaft and the end of the shaft is rounded off so it was not able to turn the valve. I was expecting the valve body to come with the shaft but it did not. Is there a way to extract the valve without the shaft being attached.
I can turn the valve on and off using a long screwdriver but I would like to repair the valve if possible. My other alternative is to open the valve using the screw driver then cut off the end of the spigot and replace with a standard faucet, but would rather repair the Woodford.
Any advise would be welcome.
Thanks
