I am in the process of remodeling my basement and am putting in a new drain line for a bathroom. My question is what is the proper angle to attach the new drain line into the existing one?

I attached a sketch of the drain pipe (new and existing's layout)

Thanks

The tie in should be at a 45 degree angle towards the system exit.

Are you talking "slope" of the new pipe? 1/4" per foot if the pipe is 3", 1/8" per foot if it's 4". And, yeah, use a wye fitting and a 45 elbow to do the tie in, not a tee. Good luck, and have fun!
