Kohler Cimarron vs Eljer Titan vs AS Cadet 3.

I am in the process of remodeling my bath. I have been reading a lot of posts on this site and have it narrowed down to these three. Any advise or experience with these would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

As the former owner of a Kohler Cimarron, my advice is not to consider it because of its bad rinse (many points inside the bowl remain dry during a flush). I replaced mine with a Toto Drake . I have seen only one Cadet 3 in operation, a "right height" model in an office building. It flushed well and the entire surface of the bowl was rinsed. I have not yet seen an Eljer Titan, so I cannot comment on that one.

We have extensively used the Eljer over the
past few years and have had very good luck....

the NORMAL Patriot handicapped toilets made by Eljer
RARELY if ever stop up and they are
almost a 1/3 the cost of a TOTO..


I have a very hard time trying to jsutify the
cost of a TOTO to normal middle class people
but the Eljer Patriot they can accept...



The Titan is supposed to really flush good,
but with their normal Patriot ones doing a good job...
I have yet found the need to try one.....




I would not put in a American Standard or a Kohler
for my worst enemy......

I’m starting to lean toward the CADET 3 based on comments from this awesome web site unless convinced otherwise. I’m only planning on being in the house for about 2 more years tops. I can’t justify the cost for a TOTO, but the next house I will definitely consider it. Thanks again for your comments and anymore are welcome!

My wife and I installed a Cadet 3 about a year ago, and it's the best operating toilet that we've ever seen. I posted several good comments about it some time back, but in case you missed them, I just wanted to add another post about the quality of the Cadet 3. I realize that many people have had problems with the American Standard Champion, but the Cadet 3 is nothing like the Champion. The Champion is a new design, obviously one that was not very well tested before being put on the market, but the Cadet 3 is of the older, tried and true design, and it's definitely the one that I'd recommend to anyone.

Cimarron,
Lacks bowl wash at back, and will plug some.
Kohler quality control is not the best.

Titan,
A cheaper looking toilet based on the Toto Drake design.
I've noticed that it can blow out the wax on the bottom.
I use a waxless seal on these.

Cadet 3,
A lesser grade toilet based on the Toto Drake design.
Water splashes around the bowl more, some think it looks like a nosier flush, some like to see the water splashing.

Toto Drake,
The one the rest want to be.
The original one that started it all.

I've sold and installed all of these, and that's my take on it.
