We are going to change out our Kitchen sink & faucet. We want to use the flexible Faucet Supply Lines, but don't know if we can tap into the cold water flexible faucet supply line with a Saddle Valve to run water to the Ice Maker. Does any one know if it is possible, or do we have to have some type of rigid water supply line running to the cold water side?

We're also wanting to run an under-the-sink filter to a separate filtered faucet. We will use a shutoff valve that has two 3/8'' comp. for the 2 different faucets on the cold water side.

I hope all this makes sense.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Saddle valves are NEVER a good choice and will definitely not work on anything other than straight hard copper. Use a "3 way" valve which has two outlets, either both 3/8" or one 3/8" and lne 1/4", (this is more common and useful for water filters, etc.).

If you don't want to change the valve, buy or assemble a Tee/manifold that will screw on to the existing valve and give separate connections for the two lines.

You can use a 3/8" X 1/4" compression tee on the faucet supply...
Run from the valve to the T and from the T to the faucet 3/8"...
From the branch serving the appliance (1/4"), run a piece of 1/4" copper and then a 1/4" shutoff valve (compression...) then run to your appliance...
