The pumps are the 53, 57, 151, 152, 153, and the model 48. If any of these pumps that have the 20' cords and if that cord has "phillippines" stamped on the plug, then there could be a grounding problem with the ground pin! If the plug has been cut off and the pump is hard wired, then there is no problem! There was around 2600 pumps affected by this. The pumps were made between 09/06 and 10/06.

Glad I saw this....was getting ready to pickup another M-53.

ZP - curious...is the same source used for other cord lengths?

If you are picking up the M-53 you will not have a problem with it! If you are picking up any pump right now, you are not going to have a problem with it! It was for only some ofthe pumps that were made September and October of 2006. This was for only about 2600 pumps of different models during that time, Zoeller actually produces about 26,000 "50" series pumps alone each month.
