Help Needed- Water Running

Hi, My bathtub handle has become stripped somehow and the water is running, I can not get the water to stop or the handle off. Can someoen tell me how to get the handle off? Its just a plastic round handle, with a star on it, no company name. Thx alot =)

Look for a cap in the top center that you pry off (thin blade putty knife or even razor blade) to reveal a screw.
