I replaced the springs and seats in a single handle Delta, but now it will only shut off completely if I move the handle slightly towards the hot position....

When you make the repair, change all of the parts including the titanium ball.

They have "old style" and "new style" springs and seats. Make sure you are using the correct ones.

Well, it is stainless steel, not titanium, but its positioning slot may be worn, or you may have twisted the body when you took it apart and that rotated the off position.
