Is it possible to salvage a fitting in an leaking ABS joint. I did not let my cement cure more then 5 minutes before I conducted a water test. It leaks and I have been told that I must trash my trap and start over. Is that true or is there a way to extract an ABS pipe and not destroy the hub on the trap?
Also, what is the best way to conduct a water test on ABS drain pipe.

The problem is, both ABS and PVC joints are not actually "glued." They are solvent welded which means the surface of both the pipe and fitting are chemically fused together. It is seldom worth the effort trying to patch or reseal a bad joint. Your best bet is to cut out the bad pieces and redo it with new fittings and pipe.

they make a cutter head that you can drill out the pipe from the hub

but it costs more than a trap

works great though
