My buddy just replaced the entire spindle assembly on his shower faucet, both hot, cold, and the divider. All three spindles replaced.
Yet he still has trouble with the temperature balance. Both hot and cold, individually, function correctly. They react properly to slight and full turns, both with adequate pressure.
But when you have both on during a shower or bath the cold has to be turned down almost completely to get the correct balance. And even then it takes constant adjustment to get a good temperature.
Same symptoms as before replacing spindles. It's a Price Pfister and probably 15 years old.
Any ideas? Has he done something wrong? Or is it something else?
