I am replacing the plumbing under my bathroom sink and would like to use plastic materials. However, the stub coming out of my wall is what appears to be galvanized steel and it is not threaded. Is the anyway for me to connect a plastic p trap assy to this pipe? Thanks

Use a "Mission coupler" to connect the steel to plastic. It's a rubber sleeve that is wrapped by metal. You can probably find something like it at your local hardware store.

Good luck

Galve. to plastic

I have to agree with Norcal, use a Mission coupling or a Fernco.. Lots of luck.
