Anyone know of a water pressure gauge that would have a communication port integrated on it (For attaching a personal computer/laptop to it). I'm a programmer and had to write some software today for monitoring some temp gauges. Thought about adding some code to monitor a water pressure gauge and use it to monitor my well room at home. You know, geek stuff, like text msg my cell phone if the pressure drops while no one is home or the temp gets below 32. <grin>

Pressure transducers with a 4-20mA signal are fairly common in process piping. There are other types of signals available. Wika makes fairly nice tranducers but it may be more accurate than you need. What type of signal did you want. You might poke around http://www.omega.com/ and see what they have

Thanks Phil, I found a few items that would work but had no idea they would be so expensive. The temp guages w/com ports are about $35.00, I guess it's a different story with pressure gauges. - oh well, thanks for the input.
