Is it common or even OK to have one tank on the jetpump of a shallow well and another in the house, 150 feet away and about 20 vertical feet higher? I just bought a cottage with this setup. Switch is on the pump with the small tank. Much larger tank is in house with no switch or gauge.
thanks,
Rick

I don't see where it could be a problem. It will just keep the pump from running so much. That's a good thing.

Since this is a seasonal cottage and must be winterized each fall, Can I get rid of the tank at the pump and move the switch to the house tank? This is to simplify the draining or pump removal in the fall.
