Removing Tub/Shower Escutcheon
I am trying to remove the chrome escutcheons and the chrome sleeves that go over the stems on my tub/shower faucets so that I can remove the stems. Do they screw into the stem somehow behind the wall. I have tried tugging and turning counterclock wise assuming that they may be screwed in, but they will not come out. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance:confused:

sleeves

I assume they are PricePfister. If so, find a socket wrench that just fits inside the sleeve, (mine is 13/16" one). Then grab the sleeve and socket with Channelock pliers and unscrew it. The socket will keep it from distorting, which is why you cannot unscrew now.
