Lightbulb Need ideas for toilet models that fit 10" rough-in

After reading all the reviews and comments on this site, we were ready to proceed with replacing all 3 of our constantly-clogging, contractor-grade Sterling toilets with Toto Drakes. Then we found out from our plumber that our master bath has a 10" rough-in and so this model won't fit. We're so disappointed! For now we are replacing the other two toilets and playing "wait-and-see" w/ the master bath. We did see other Toto models that can accommodate the 10" rough-in if we use something called a Uni-Fit adapter, but our plumber did not recommend this arrangement because it becomes another potential leaking point (extra joints/pieces, etc.) Can anyone share their experiences with Uni-Fit adapters - good or bad? Are there any other toilet models out there that can fit 10" without the adapter, and perform as well as the Toto Drake?

    Thanks!

If your plumber has not seen a Unifit before, he will soon. There are too many being installed for him to not see one soon.

They work fine. The Toto Vespin uses one, a smooth sided toilet with Sanagloss in the bowl area.
