Hello,

My brother and I have just taken on a project.....and upon getting up into my attic (house built in 1920) the vent pipe is running right through the center taking away alot of space....is it possible to move it? It looks origianl, it looks like cast iron and it looks like it ways a ton! We were wondering if we would have to call a plumber....is it possible to move ourselves and if so what tools? Any help is awesome!!

It is moveable. It is cast iron. And it does weigh a ton. But more important than that is how you would make a connection that would enable you to lower it below the floor level. The tools necessary to do that might make calling a plumber a good idea.
