That's the new wave washer hj mentioned. It's meant to replace the old wave washer you haven't removed from the valve yet
We looked at these two to match an Archer in biscuit as close as we could

We settled on the TI-5...
Wait for the plumbers' advice to be sure, but I seem to remember that PVC Sch 80 nipples are used for both Sch 40 and Sch 80 fittings (same o.d. and threads maybe?).
What's wrong with the kitchen sink?

Or a baby bathtub on a table?

Maybe you were the last one.
If a corded appliance can draw more than 15 amps, shouldn't a 20 amp plug be required? (by UL or something?)
Just curious.

Well, I guess it's a moot point; lightweight panels are the only "standard" gypsum panels available anywhere near here (other than greenboard and 5/8 fire rated). They can't even order the older,...
I started seeing the format in your original post occasionally, yesterday I think. But everything else seems normal. Updated to FF 18.0.1 few days ago, maybe that was it.
The box stores around here are really pushing the newer lightweight drywall panels. I don't even see any of the traditional sag-resistant panels I had planned to use for textured ceilings;...
The plumbers here can often identify the manufacturer of old fixtures, but they usually need to see the "insides". A photo of the hot or cold side with the handle and decorative flange removed might...
Yes, what I was missing was a possible 15A across only 0.3 ohms at 4.5 volts is still 15A
Select the "Insert Image" at the top of the edit window and upload from your PC.
I think that's the part I was missing. With electronic equipment I slipped into the habit of thinking of paths to chassis ground as dead shorts because, except with RF, the very small...
No, that's just an old puppy crate behind her. They come up from the woods at night and make the rounds of the neighborhood scavenging for food. Rest of the family thinks they're creepy but they're...
Yeah, I kind of figured that. I did first verify continuity between the bare grounding and neutral conductors at the fixture as DonL suggested. I think I just got paranoid after finding so many...
As far as I know, the disposers we use for old leftovers never gets clogged. And they often bring a pouch full of helpers.

Just to be safe I cut the power at both the outdoor main panel and the indoor subpanel before removing the subpanel cover

I can see the bare grounding conductors fastened to the ground...
No boxes for the vanity fixtures, they just punched a hole in the drywall for the cable. I picked up a couple of plastic ceiling boxes with hanger bars for making a neater installation of the new...
Doing bathroom remodel I notice incoming bare grounding wires of standard 3-wire cable (12ga black, white, bare) is not connected to green screws or green grounding wires supplied with the fixtures,...
I have used repeaters like this in similar situations.
Ok, picked up a Mueller street ell at a plumbing supply house, it fit the same as the Nibco. It soldered fine so I guess it was ok, just wasn't sure since it wasn't as snug as a regular pipe to...
To avoid notching a stud I wanted to make a quick 90 downturn out of a shower valve cold inlet. I assumed I could use the male end of a 1/2" street elbow to keep the pipe away from the stud.
But...
I think that was your wisest approach. Otherwise, you might have to eat any future problems that affect your work.
Guess they were just lazy. Not too late hj, haven't installed the new stuff yet. Screwing the valve and shower drop ear to some blocking should do it.
Thanks guys!
