SHould the vanity drain look more like the setup for the laundry?
I think I would just have to lengthen the tailpiece and attach a 45 to the stub out to be able to match the wall bend to the p-trap.

because I can use the lav sink as a wet vent. if I go to the SE as you say with the toilet drain I still have to vent the toilet.
what about this get rid of the laundry tub and put in a toilet and lav sink. Use the lav drain as a wet vent for the toilet??

Basement toilet and shower rough-in is in the planning stage. Is there a chance that the horizontal section of the vent could clog in this arrangement. Nothing is finalized yet.
