Spent about 2 hrs trying to install a kohler shower drain. I cannot get the caulkless adaptor piece all the way down. I've soaped everything and just cannot get it installed.
Any tricks?

I built mine. I have 1" copper and ran 1/2" pex. Couldn't find what I wanted. If you make it yourself it can be just how you want it.
I use a tekmar snowmelt controller for mine with heat exchanger. I only use glycol in the snowmelt.
9" centers may not be close enough to do a good job. What insulation are u putting underneath?
I used gravity to add my glycol to my system. Step ladder and funnel. After initial filling ran...
The shower will be a complete unit that mounts to the studs. I was worried about trapping moisture between the plastic sides and the vapor barrier.
Thanks

I have the Clack heads on both Centaur filter and softener from Gary. Seem to be holding up very well.
I have a relative who bought 3 Fleck 5600's and had very poor service from Fleck. ...
I can attest that the setup mentioned by Gary works good. I've been using it since January with great results.
Definitly plumb in valves that connect to drains as it makes adding pellets easier....
Looking for small tub for kids bathroom to replace shower.
Need something small than 46" length, but smallest I can find is 48" Kohler.
Anyone know of any manufactures.

I installed an 80 gallon tank and never looked back. Cost somewhat more but plenty of hot water.

I've had one for 3 years now. Works good. Could look better, but no drafts and no lint build up. I haven't had any condensation problems.

Wow. I thought I was paying a lot for propane at 1.74/gal this year. Every year seams to go up (1.65 2006). I pre-buy every year, which helps.
If you own your own tank, putting a second one out...
Thanks for all the replys.
It looks like they don't offer the finish she wants. She wants the old oil rubbed bronze look.
Sigh.

Hello,
My sister in-law wants to update the look of her bath. She wants to change the fixtures out.
I would rather change the trim/valve vs the valve body due to access.

I would seriously look at a higher efficiency unit. 80% seems low.
Have them run some numbers for fuel cost for 80% and something in the 90's.
