I'm making the change to a tankless water heater. Just wondering if there are any differences between gas and propane outside of the obvious storage and supply issue.
thanks

or lunch! lol
It's got to be at least 10 years and probably more like 15. Since I can't see it leak from anywhere else I am pretty sure that's it and just change it out.
thanks for the replies.
p.s. that's a...
I'm having problem figuring out where the water in the cabinet below the kitchen sink is coming from. I've run water.. doesn't look like it's any of the pipes, nor does it look to be coming from...
yep found just the disc and that solved the problem. thanks guys
The flapper is worn and needs o be replaced. Can I just replace the black rubber or does the whole flapper kit need to be replaced?
I'm installing new cabinets. The hot and cold water pipes currently come through the floor. I would prefer having them come out of the wall and not cutting holes in the cabinet floor.
My concern...
i decided it wasn't worth the risk, pulled up the bowl and changed the wax ring.
thanks for the responses.
John, the flange is metal (but old)
i should mention that i have poured 5 buckets worth of water down and see no water leaking under the toilet
Stupid me... i should have checked the level before putting on the wax ring and setting it down. When I slid a couple of shims after setting the bowl down I heard a pop which I imagine was the wax...
thanks. there must have been an insinkerator once upon a time.
I suppose Penn is the manufacturer. It has electrical wires. (pics below)
Does anyone happen to know what it is or it's purpose?
Thanks
okay. thanks much
Sorry, my question is whether I should be using Teflon tape on the PVC connection where I've capped it. I know you DON'T use it on the drain kit parts (P-traps, tailpiece, etc)
bump. anyone?
so i took the second P trap out and connected the pipe from the insinkerator directly to the drain pipe with a "T" connection joint and capped off the other side.
Are you suppose to use Teflon...
i can do that! didn't know it wasn't code but that's the way the house came
yes i removed the P taps with the sink
I am changing out my kitchen sink and faucet. Trying to decide whether to change the drain pipe. Takes up a lot of space but am undecided whether it's worth the bother or not and also concerned about...
I found some caulk by Mapei which matched the grout perfectly. Used the backer rod -- worked like a charm. Got it all done. Looks great.
Thanks again for the help.
J.
turns out the big box stores do carry it. it's in the insulation area.
i'm thinking i should regrout the corners so it better matches the existing grout color. the caulking is way too white and it...
thanks for checking. I will check the specialty stores. i'm sure i will find it somewhere.
thanks again.

It's too bad the installer didn't follow the industry standards. Of course that's never happened before.
So how should I proceed? Should I remove the rest of the grout in the corner or should I...
I'm repairing some of the grout on the tiles around my tub that has come lose or has been pushed into the wall. The problem is only in the corners.
There seems to be a lot of space in the corner...
well that's about as clear as it gets. thanks.
