Why not do it the "easy way" and just remove the stiffeners from both sides?

If pipe "A" is 6" from the center of the wall and pipe "B" is 9" behind it, that is 15" and gives you 12" for the toilet and 3" from the face of the finished wall to the center, which is about...
That looks like a "J" next to the 1, not a 1/4. The valve appears to be marked 1", however.
J R Smith used to make 1 1/2" "sediment traps" for undersink use, but I don't see them in their current catalog. Wade, Zurn, or Josam probably still have them. They have a plug, or cover, on the...
That or a small hacksaw are the about the only ways.
If they are ''air bubbles" then the valve is not shutting off tightly and the slight flow of water is aspirating air from the refill tube. BUT, there is no way that could change the temperature in...
IF you used PEX, or did not remove the "stiffener" inside the fitting if you used copper, that is the problem. Unless, are you sure you did not put the valve in upside down?
A good plumbing supply store should have them, although a 4x3 street "Y" may be harder to find.
Unscrew both unions and slide the PRV out. You will have to find a new valve the same length as the existing one because you do not have enough "leeway" to install a longer one.
The adapter should have a rubber gasket inside it to seal the thread, if not take it back and get one that does.
No way, because I assume your "garden tub" is concrete and tile construction, and you would need access to the piping UNDER the valve to modify it.
I haven't installed any Posi-temp valves yet, but it appears they are 180 degree symetrical like Delta and many other brands. If so, the the body can be inverted so the water flows directly to the...
Inspectors in this area reject it.
Nothing you people are talking about applies to the 1222 cartridge. A 1/2" rod does NOT work. There are several ways to remove the broken 1222 cartridge, but you have to be careful NOT to damage the...
quote; Can I drain the water out of the pressure tank
Depending on the type, you may just have to put air INTO it, but there is a specific process to do it. If you depress the air valve and water...
Something is not kosher. Kohler would not make items with the "wrong" male thread, AND then also make them undersized. EIther you have some metric stuff, or it is some company's copy of a Kohler...
My experience has been that installing them WITHOUT a loop is a more direct route and uses less material, therefore it gives as good, if not better, results. I have never installed a balancing loop,...
Do they need a license for what they did? Yes. Can the do the work without a license. Yes, assuming they do not get caught. Call the building department and have an inspector check whether it was...
Why is there a gas line there? It appears to be a "short wall" under the window so it cannot be going too far upwards.
Either way will work, although finding a thread to start from will be a lot less work.
Pump cycling on and off? That is usually a sign of a "waterlogged" pressure tank so you are operating on "pump pressure" which will rise and fall as the pressure switch turns the pump on and off.
I don't know why you say the connectors are too long, because to me they look too short to wrap around and connect to the elbows. If I were there, I would try to bring they out at a different spot and...
qutoe; Sound like it might be easier to just get a Price Phister knob.
That is the ONLY way you are going to do it without changing the entire valve inside the wall. And, it would be the same no...
Even a picture might not tell us what the problem is or what kind of seal you need. We would probably have to see the connector AND the piece on the faucet spout.
You absolutely CANNOT do what you show. It would violate EVERY code and good plumbing practice, besides creating a nightmare for you when you use the sink. Why can't you run the line inside the wall....
