OK ... So here's what have been asked to do ...fixed shower head in front, a rain shower head, and about 5 feet away, a handheld for seated operation (don't need to control water temp, and will only...
So, framing for shower going up this weekend ...will be laying out for wall shower, ceiling shower and handheld. I can probably build the manifold out of copper, but was considering CPVC since the...
In the 48" size I need, both PVC and ABS are available - with the ABS cost being about $100 over the PVC.
The ABS would perhaps be less likely to crack and potentially more impact resistant - is...
Made a modification, deleted the original diagram and added this one. Thanks.
I am attaching a very basic diagram - probably should have started with this. I converted it from a pptx to a jpg so hopefully it will be somewhat readable.
HJ - I just don't understand the...
Sorry, didn't mean to infer would put AAV in floor, but that I have 12" available in which to run vent line. The vanities and drawers all in line, but must take drains through floor vice wall since...
Thanks, Jim,
I have vent stack through the roof about 12 feet away ...and, yeah, I can take a vent up through the exterior wall, but it would be a pita ...I MAY even be able to run a vent line in...
So, I have cabinets totaling 8' with two vanities. Left to right: 12" drawers, 30" vanity, 12" drawers, 30" vanity, and 12" drawers. Complete remodel on an outside wall with double end plates...

OK - think I need to close this one out ... wife has overruled me! She found a 55" x 30" standalone that I will find a way to make work - I hope - I have 69" for it to fit into, so might be OK. ...
Just got finished ...floor remodel done except for speakers, etc ...ended up using a Laskey (now Aquatic) located in South Boston, VA ...went to plant as it was near the house ...very nice...
Can anyone tell me how much setback from the tile edge would be in a case like this? Tub is 30" from back to front, with back and ends having nailing flanges ... front edge is finished like for a...
Thanks, hj,
Looked for a couple of hours today - wife wants me to consider a standalone, but with only 66 x 30 inches to work with, there isn't much that is available ...well, outside some wildly...
My remodel forces the tub (can use 60-66) under a window, with one end to vanity cabinets and other to wall for plumbing access. My perfect solution is a acrylic with nailing flanges for plumbing...
So, after checking out all the options, I had to eliminate Mustee (can't find a center drain in their line of low/no barrier), AKW (availability issue here likely related to shipping costs) ......
Found another supplier - Aker by Maax ... enclosures only, and a bit simpler design with a 2" vertical lip ... the tile will take about 3/4 inch so should be able to still roll over the lip. ...
Just found another - comfortdesignsbathware.com ... several shower solutions - don't know if the base can be used a s standalone receptor, yet.
Just found another supplier - American Reinformed Plastics - Tacoma ... Model# S-6034-BFP ... 1 1/2" lip from outside, but 3/4" of that would be eaten up by the adjoining tile work ...
Thanks, Jimbo ... the schematic shows a 7/8" lip, but it looks vertical and is designed to connect up to the ramp ... while this works, it looks to be an ad hoc way to solve the problem ... have seen...
Last post on same remodel was related to drain issues and potential for all tile wet room concept.
After considering concrete excavation and time issues (never enough), I am now considering a...
Thanks to all - she opted for the 75 gallon AO Smith replacement for the stepped 50 gallon tanks ... had plenty of space so no issue either way. The 75 gallon solution specs out with plenty of...
Did I ask in the wrong sub-forum?
Any opinions?
Thanks!!
