OK, that could be it......
bump for pictures
Here's some photos - pretty nasty, but you can see from the last photo, this is not a nasty bathroom.
Grout + Sealer is not waterproof - FYI
Seal that joint with 100% silicone caulk and you'll be in better shape. It will withstand water very well.
City water. Will post pictures tonight.
The slime is mainly at the top of the water. That's why only a little bit here and there made it to the bowl.
Not sure what you want me to...
So for the last week or so I noticed little grey flecks in my toilet bowl after a flush. Thought maybe the bowl was dirty under the rim, and gave it a good scrubbing. After that did not change...
To whom it may concern,
Thank you for helping us guys and gals that don't install toilets for a living understand what a good toilet is, what fits, why we want a solid install and all the other...
Perfect, you guys rock!
Sorry to bump this, but wondering if I'm an idiot worrying about cracking the bowl re:question quoted above.
So installed a Cadet 3 last night in my home and the tank is pretty loose because of the big thick rubber gasket between the tank and bowl.
Should I keep cranking down? I'm afraid I'll crack the...
I just went through this same process and the toto unifit's will be the shortest you can find at 28 3/4" from the wall.
I just ordered a Nexus and a 14" unifit for a 14" rough, they said it would work at the plumbing supply house, but when I came back here I see some saying otherwise? Who is right?
Terry,
Thanks for the info, I'll measure out 28.75" and see what it looks like. If I still think it's sticks too far out, and wanted to get more invasive and move my flange back to a 10 or 12"...
This is a stupid question, but what seperates a 12" rough bowl from a 14" rough bowl?
Guy I just talked to at a plumbing place said to just use a 12", but he also "never heard" of Toto, so I...
There's no way i can get 24" in front of toilet. Even with the options listed above, 43" between wall and tub - 28" (Toilet) = 15" of space. I'm not sure what I could have done, just ripped out the...
So Toto Vespin and Carlysle both have elongated bowls and with the unifit would get me another two inches, which would be nice. Maybe it doesn't come off in the pictures, but it seems very close.

So, I need the help of this wonderful forum.
I have a skinny bathroom in a 1939 home. The bathroom is only 43" wide between the wall and tub. So I did the stupid thing and just bought a 14"...
Your other option is call your landlord and have him fix the leaky plumbing.
I've never heard of old copper snapping? I'll wait for others to reply.
You can special order a 10" toilet from HD, they only stock 12" rough ins. Offset flange is a BAD idea. Unless you have no other toilet,
Good question, and I actually did this myself recently.
I bought a 1000 Sq Ft bungalow in Royal Oak in 2006, with a basement 1 bathroom, kitchen, and 1 outdoor hose spout. ALL galvanized.

That is about as false of a statement as you can make.
As much as I love the current status of Medical Insureance in the US, the model does need to change drasticlly.
I'm employed, have enough to pay for a decent HMO, and have little problems, it...
So no mud eh?
It appears that the tub is ONLY supported by the ledger board (I know someone said it isn't supported..... but bear with me) and the outside edge (apron?). Looking at the manual it...
Ummmm..... it's normal water supply lines - residential. My guess is it's hard, I assume soft copper would be flexible lines for an ice maker......?
If that's the case it's hard.
