True, but even a taller 1/4" riser should accomplish the same thing, to a lesser extent. My unit pumps sand....if it was not doing that, it wouldn't be an issue though.

What do you mean 'have enough wire'?
I am taking off the old pressure switch, putting a T on the old nipple. Off teh side of that T I am putting a NEW pressure gauge and then putting the new...
I am comfortable replacing it myself. One questions...is it acceptable or safe to put a 'T" on that nipple so that I could put a pressure guage on just underneath the pressure switch? I have a...
Id be lying if I told you what brand of pump and model I have. I did not have it drilled and it was a huge pain in the butt to dig up the driller report online. As such, Im pretty sure its model is...
OK, i know which one to get, but can you explain why they have several different kinds that are 40/60?
On the square D website, there are 4 that fit my purpose.
The differences are in the...
There are a bunch of Square D 40/60 switches for water wells, and they all are a little different. Main difference is teh 'pressure differential'...whatever that is. No clue which I need.
I say it doesnt do it all the time, but im not actively watching my water pressure until we take showers. The contacts do not make until it gets well below 40 psi. Can I clean it or should I simply...
The last two night my wife has complained that the pressure drops very very low while in the shower. I checked my gauge when it was low and the pressure was at 35 and even dropped to 30 before the...
I have a well that I use exclusively for watering my property. It just started leaking at the top as far as I can tell. This started today. I have attached photos of where it is leaking. Its...
OK, I give up.
Anyone know where I can get one online or locally in Katy, TX? I have no idea what size I need.
can they be had from the local box store?
Mine was leaking when the pump was running. I pulled the stem and it looks like the spring is weak or broken. Either way, I had another one laying around that is probably from a inner tube. Its...
When I say its rusty and flaky, I mean that Im afrad to unthread the fittings for fear it will disintegrate. I dont know if I can repair that or not. Where do you get the air valve with gauge?
I...
My tank is a AW120-01 ProSource epoxy lined tank. My well has a snifter valve on it and the tank has a gauge that spits out water and some air every time the well comes on. It is NOT a bladder...
OK, so that 79402 unscrews...wow.
Its going to require a small strap wrench then. Its far more than hand tight. I can't unthread it with both hands clenched on it. Ill try again later.

I have no clue what kind of faucet it is, but its in the bathroom and looks similar to the Fairfax. It has an aerator inside and it needs to be cleaned, but its not like my others. It doesnt seem...
This unit will handle up to 4gpm. We have had a shower, kitchen sink and dishwasher going at the same time with no serious issues for the shower taker. It seems to work ok.
Fortunately, or unfortunately as the case may be, my home was wired to hand tankless, but they used smaller gauge and segregated teh plumbing system so has to have smaller, but more, tankless...
Its installed correctly, its hard to mess that up...one pipe in, one pipe out...three wires..red to red, black to black, and copper to green/grnd.
None of my tankless heaters have temp/pressure...
Yeah...something. I finally got a hold of the manufacturer and they said they had another unit come in today with the exact same problem. They have never had the problem before and suspect a batch...
I am not a plumber, but the way mine is set up is that the sediment filter (A vuflow, I think) is installed AFTER the pressure tank. I was specifically instructed to never install anything between...
I hate to be a pest but can someone chime in on this? I can't get a hold of the manufacturer. When the unit shuts off, it boils the water and must back up into the cold side as steam or something. ...
This new unit gets MUCH hotter than the old. When its done being used, you can feel the heat emanating from it a foot away. My infrared thermometer shows the chambers at 270 degrees. How can that be...
