Design Considerations for Steam Showers - When incorporated into a pool house
I'm working on a great steam shower project for an upcoming shower and have been asked to design the space to be incorporated into a pool house. The pool house measure 7' x 12' with 8' ceiling height.
A number of things comes to mind and I'm trying to squish all the pool's pumps, heaters, and gizmo's into one section of the space.
How much room do you think a small home pool needs for it's gear? Could I cram everything into a space 6' x 3.5'? I could gain a little more room under the benches.
Here is my concept drawing.
The entry to this pool house would be on the South Elevation and enters the user into a "gear down area". Small bench and cubbies to the right and a door to the pools mechanical area on the North Elevation.
To the left is the shower entry.
The shower will have some custom benches and one side will be two tiered.
The blue shading is the first tier of sitting and he light green will be the second. I want the benches to look like these so one can recline and place their arms on the rest above.
Here is what I think the benches should look like.
Not knowing anything about plumbing a pool I have know idea how much space to save the pool builder's plumber.
