i am installing a Price Phister RT6 series Treviso faucet, deck-mounted to a tub. The directions say to "cut off top of shank (where spout attaches) leaving 1/16 inch above anchor. chamfer and debur shank before inserting anchor." What do I cut shank with and debur it?

"Hacksaws" are tools designed to cut metal. "Files" are similarly designed to smooth, shape, and deburr metal.
