I recently had a leak in the water supply line to my ice maker. The plastic supply line is 3/8" tubing reduced to a 1/4" line leading into the refrigerator. The two lines are join via a coupling and brass compression fittings. I tried twice to replace the 3/8" compression fitting but both time it did not hold. I went to my local hardware store and they suggested a quick connect plastc coupling. It was of course very easy to install and so far has held with no leaks. The coupling is rated at 170 psi are these coupling good for long term use?
