I don't know what your start up process is, but mine is to reinstall my BFP which I remove in the fall, then turn the shut off valve to the on position. The system is then ready to use. I don't do this until it's approaching irrigation time, usually in mid to late March. Here our lawn irrigation season is April to October, give or take a few days.
