Greetings,
First time home owner - still have a lot to learn. Thank you in advance for all your help.
There is a rubber ring that fell out of the spout / diverter. The ring is flat on one side and caved in on the other. Looks like a tub with a hole in it.
Without the ring, the shower diverter would not work.
I forced the ring back into the plastic portion of the diverter, with the flat side facing away from the wall. Now the diverter works - except water is also coming out of the spout.
I guess I put the rubber piece back in the wrong way.
Question is - how do I get the rubber piece back out? Is there a way for me to just unscrew the nob that you use to pull the diverter up? Or am I stuck with replacing a new one? Please assist!
Thank you and happy new year!
Jason
