I’d appreciate advice on increasing my water pressure. I have a well system with a very large water storage tank (about 8 ft high and 6 ft in dia., with a 2†outlet pipe). Water from the storage tank goes through a booster pump for pressure, then to a 20 gallon Champion pressure tank (on a “Tâ€) and on to my home. My pressure switch is set at 20/40 psi. My booster pump’s maximum pressure is about 40 psi. If I try to increase the psi of the pressure switch above about 40 psi, my booster pump runs continuously. 40 psi is fine, but 20 psi is too low. 30/50 psi or 40/60 psi would be okay. Constant pressure of about 40 or 50 psi would be even better.
My booster pump is old and the only visible markings are on the motor which say: MagneTek Century AC Motor, Jet Pump Duty, 2 HP, 230 Volts, 3450 RPM. The pump has been taken apart and inspected and it appears to be in good shape.
What are the best options for increasing my water pressure?
