What’s up with my pitless adapter?

Well is about 16 years old. Pitless looked corroded/ rusted. Stuck a vacuum down there to clean all the rust off the threads.

Any ideas what’s going on? Haven’t tried to pull it yet but it’s looking like it won’t be easy.

You would be surprised. Just screw a tee pipe on that 1" pitless and lift. It may look corroded but the o-ring should let it slide apart easily, except for the weight.

I welded a pipe tap to a coupling and run it down on it my lifting stick when threads look suspect....very useful especially when folks been dumping a lot of chlorine.
