What is the best shower strip to keep water in?

I put in a replacement vinyl strip that just slid into the metal part.

But it is unsatisfactory!

I had the same setup in my previous home before a remodel. Constant cleaning an I replace the strip several times and there is no other way. Remove everything, clean the frame with an SOS pad put back the drip rail and leave it. Place a towel on the floor outside the shower and use it the dry it all off after each use.
This is why frameless shower glass is all the rage.
