Am replacing bad ABS pipe in a well, 30 feet of pipe on a 1/2 hp submersible pump. What do you suggest I use for pipe, thanks.

For 30' I would use 1" polly pipe rated for 160 PSI.

Bad pipe is right - I dont know of ABS being used for drinking water under any conditions of manufacture, so get that toxic waste out of your well - use it in the septic tank. At 30', 100 or 125psi PE pipe would even be suitable- Unless you want a cycle stop valve also, which will run your PSI up to interesting test pressures.

Galvanized and PVC Sch 80 threaded pipe are your other options.

Are you sure it's ABS. Some people confuse ABS and Poly because they are both black. Is it flexable?

Raucina has it right, ABS is sewage pipe.
