Hi all,

I found your wonderful forum and was hoping to humbly ask all your professionals opinions.

I just discovered this leak after a bath. The slip joint attaching the tub drain to the drain pipe. No matter how I tighten it, or position it, it leaks.

My main questions are is this the proper setup? And how would be the best way to seal it? Should I get a new slip joint ring? Or should I eliminate the corrugated piece to make it straight?

I apologize for the ugly drywall,
I just tore it apart in frustration.

Thanks,
Phil

I concur with JHY. Tear out and redo properly with all glue joints unless there will be a permanent access panel.
