Hey guys,
I have a silly question. I plumbed a double vanity and closed up the walls. My math was a bit off on one side due to crooked framing so one of the trap connections is a bit more recessed inside the wall (3/8 to 1/2 inch)
Would this be too recessed to glue a spigot adapter into? Or should i extend with a pipe and put a hub adapter instead? Vanity cabinet has open back

As long as you have a little over half of the threads protruding from the wall surface your fine. I'd prefer the male trap adapter. That way your can get an escutcheon to fit tight to the wall.

unless its exposed we typically stub out with pipe , but the pipe and entire trap adapter is visable . definatly a neater , cleaner look to have it closer to wall with a escutcheon like john recomended. I dont think you want it sticking out of wall more.
