I have two wells....Well (1) is for the house and Well (2) I will be developing for irrigation (the well is dug and has a 6 inch casing on it but no pump in it yet). Well (1) for the house has a pressure tank on it. I want to have well (2) for the irrigation fill up an 800 gallon cistern that I can use for irrigating about 1.2 acres of lawn/garden. I would like to be able to switch between the two wells incase one well has an issue. Is there a way to do this given the fact that well (1) is on a pressure switch and the other well is filling up a cistern with a float switch? I will be redoing well (1) going to the house (new pump, pressure tank and line going to the house) so if I am going to design something now is the time to do it. The controls for both wells will be housed in a new pump house along with the new pressure tank (for the house) and irrigation pump.

Here is one way to be able to use the well pump directly or let it fill a cistern and use the booster pump.
