Should be able to keep the lines lower in the tank and less prone to freezing with the pitless adaptor.

Plan is to enter the cistern through a theaded fitting on the side below the frost line. Then over to the area of the manhole cover. Then 90 up to the cover, 90 into a union fitting, then 90 down to the pump set vertically recommended by the pump manufacturer.
Consider standing up a section of casing at the manhole and use a pitless adapter. The casing will then double as the flow inducer.

I recently built a flow sleeve for my 1hp submersible pump that I’ll be using in my shallow well. This forum helped immensely, but I noticed a lot of folks had requests for more pictures.

I opted to use a 5” sewer pipe and mated that with a 6” well seal. A 5” well seal would have been ideal, but I wasn’t able to get one in my area.

A heat gun as opposed to a torch would have also made the sleeve look a little nicer.

I dimpled the sleeve to keep the pump centered. Short stainless self tapping screws through the band clamps help keep the pump and sleeve from rotating.

As my well tiles are 42” ID, I was running out of room and was unable to install a proper 90, therefore I simple drilled holes/slots to allow water entry. This will allow me to draw down to about 6” off the bottom of my well and will hopefully discourage sediment from getting sucked up.
